Fresh out of the gate on the day of Pentecost, the new believers were radical, committed, conscientious, and passionate. According to the Book of Acts, at first people were added to their numbers and then greatly multiplied. Their reputation for zealous reproduction of disciples earned them a reputation for turning their world upside down. Outsiders called them Christians meaning “Little Christs”. God wants more than belief and worship in church. He wants faith and love in action outside of the church. These early radicals were committed! It was a cause worth living for and it was a cause worth dying for, so these disciples became great disciple makers.
