The disciples of Jesus were first called Christians at Antioch, but since that time the term Christian has undoubtedly lost it’s original meaning. Although salvation is free, following Christ in those days could cost one everything. These new believers were radical, committed, conscientious, and passionate. According to the Book of Acts, at first people were added to their numbers and then greatly multiplied. Learning to become such a disciple is vital to the future of the church. Giving definition to discipleship is a great start. No procrastination. No apathetic complacency. No excuses. Be committed! It’s a cause worth living for. It’s a cause worth dying for.
