Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21) The words that we speak once spoken we can never take them back! It is vital that we guard our mouths from speaking evil.
What you believe is very important. It’s one of the choices you make in life. But equally important, perhaps even more important is what you say. Jesus mentions it three times more than he mentions the term believe. But faith and words alone, as important as they are, still require actions that correspond to your faith and words, if you want to see that mountain move.
Noise. It can drown out everything including God’s voice in our lives. “If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.” James 3:13
Our words reveal what we believe. “Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, 14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. 15 For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:13-15 ESV
John 11: 25 “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” The story of the resurrection of Lazarus is the focus of today’s message by Pastor Harley Kolterman at My Father’s House, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
